Holidays in the Altes Land
Fruit blossom, Elbe dyke, old towns and a big city – all within reach.
The Altes Land through the year
In spring the preparation for the harvest begins. The annual pruning prepares the orchards for the blossom, which lasts from about the end of April to the end of May. On the later spring nights the trees have to be sprinkled in the Altes Land. The harvest starts in summer, and there are harvest festivals, apple days and much more.
Whether ornamental Altes Land gateways, typical farmhouses, windmills or the charming landscape: new visitors who want to explore the countryside during all four seasons are welcome at any time.
The fruit blossom shifts every year depending on the weather. You can find the current status on the Blossom barometer Altes Land (German).
